What can and can't I do with digital Images?

Can
Can't
  • Use your own digital photographs
  • Use image databases purchased by the school
  • Scan in legal images
  • Find copyright-clear images on the
Internet
  • Copy and use images found on the Internet

When creating web pages, be very careful with digital images. Do not assume that Google images are copyright free. Most are not. And, you cannot always tell that a graphic posted on a "copyright free" web site is legal. You are better off using graphics that you have created or graphics from an image database that you have purchased.
